Overview

The delta table in Databricks is a table created in Delta Lake. The delta table provides flexibility to performed CRUD operations.

Features

There are many features of Delta Table, here are listing some of them:

1. It stores data in Parquet file format which is columnar storage.
2. It provides flexibility to perform CRUD operation – UPDATE, INSERT and DELETE.
3. Keep track of data versioning or snapshot of data in the table.
4. Schema evolution enables you to make changes to a table schema that can be applied automatically.
